Athletes in Action is an international sports mentoring organization committed to developing the total athlete: mentally, physically and spiritually.
Fund raising evening is in support of AIA First Nations ministry in the communities of Pauingassi and Tadoule Lake, Manitoba.
Guest speaker: ‘Antarctic Mike’ is a motivational speaker. He will challenge us in our life’s journey with some of his extreme adventure stories e.g. in the Antarctic.
For more than thirty years, Mike Pierce has been a big fan of the Antarctic and its history. He has read over 100 books on the history of Antarctica and its exploration. In January, 2006, Mike became one of just 9 people to start and complete the very first Antarctic Ice Marathon. In December, 2006, he raised the bar by becoming the very first American to complete the Antarctic 100k (62.1 miles). Mike now teaches corporations and associations principles of success based on his experience in business and from Antarctica. He and Angela reside in Encinitas, CA.

Also featuring:
Marc Johnson from Calgary, AB, a young, energetic marathoner who will share of his personal faith and sports life.
Dr. Jeff Seney: is a local chiropractor who focuses on teaching people that not only does the human body have the power to heal itself, but also knows no limitations. The only limitations are those that we impose on ourselves. Jeff recently completed the Queen City Marathon in Regina.
Albert Martens will also highlight some of his adventures in running the Marathon des Sables (x4), the Badwaterultra marathon, running across the countries of Switzerland and Germany plus 43 ‘full’ marathons.
